Donald Trump bought this building in 2004 and transformed it to a residential building from Hotel Delmonico which was first erected in 1929 , where the Beatles have stayed.
With 32 storys and 119 units, the building is constructed of hand-laid brick with ivory terra-cotta trim. It underwent a renovation that included the redesigning of some of the buildings terraces into stunning glass greenhouses and added 12,000 square feet of floor space to create the gorgeous floor plans they are today.
The lobby has double-height, coffered ceilings, checkered, marble floors and wood-paneled walls exuding incredible warmth, but the most grand feature is it’s tower which hones 12 floors and displays 360 degree views of the city.
Exquisite and precise detail went into each home which includes solid oak flooring, Italian brass, handcrafted doorknobs and moldings throughout. Kitchens have white marble counter-tops and Stainless Steel GE appliances with embellishments of polished nickel, while Bathrooms have marble floors, white wood cabinetry, deep soaking tubs with polished nickel embellishments as well.
Trump management wanted to keep the building like a hotel for its residents, which explains the hotel style service that the building offers for an additional fee. Those who do not want to avail of the hotel style service can settle for a full service option. A resident manager, doorman and concierge are available to assist to the needs of each resident. For those who want to live hotel style, a full hotel style service is available for a fee, plus maid service is also an option. There are various rooms to choose from: small to medium sized, to large penthouses with spacious terraces and a great view. It is up to the resident to choose which best fits his needs.
